Way back when I first started soapmaking, my mother asked me to make her a rich hand cream. She was a ceramicist, and the clay dried her hands out terribly. We both have sensory issues however, and my hand cream needed to suit our fussy natures. It needed to soak in fast, and NOT feel greasy.
I spent 12 months testing, and I love this hand cream so much. So did my mother – I found so many half full tins around her house after her recent death.
We all know about the benefits of goat milk in soap – the gentle exfoliation from the lactic acid, the high Vitamin A content, the balance of the fatty acid profiles. But goat milk in lotion is also delightful and we love it. It brings an extra creaminess to the lotion which I find highly appealing.
Combine the goat milk with aloe vera juice, masses of cocoa butter, avocado oil, and apricot kernel oil, and you get a hand cream which will leave your hands feeling perfectly soft, and not greasy.
